  • How many tries did it take you to pass the course?: one
  • General information: This course was a great way to apply the skills you've learned in CSAI up until now. While there wasn't a lot you " learned"  from the lectures, there were a lot of things I learned about hosting websites, storing data on servers, etc. Sadly, the exam was kind of the most useless part, but the practical assignment was great!
  • Study load: If you have a good team for the assignment, I think the study load could be very decent! Depending on how well you want to do, you can put more time into the assignment. The assignment is very neatly divided into separate smaller tasks, so you're building up the assignment from the ground, which is very nice for dividing the study load across the academic year. There is quite some studying for the exam, as a lot doesn't get covered in the assignment, but it's doable.
  • Positive feedback?: The lecturer was very nice and had a lot of practice and tips. He always wanted to help you with an issue you were running into. I learned a lot about useful stuff I expected to kind of be taught earlier in CSAI, like GitHub, how to host websites, and how to train your own AI from scratch. I do feel like active participation is the way to get the most out of this course though it's not really "handed" to you. You have to show up and be willing to try things!
  • Negative feedback?: The exam wasn't great. In my opinion, this course doesn't need an exam and just a bigger practical assignment would suffice. Maybe there could be a separate individual assignment or essay so you're not fully dependent on having a good group, but also won't have to take an exam. Furthermore, the lectures weren't always as useful, and I found the one-on-one interactions with the lecturer more valuable.
